I admit I bought these because they look super cool and who doesn’t want a good pair of selvedge? Beyond expectations on every level! In cooler months I find myself wearing these on weekends even if I’m not riding. They get better with each wear. However, recently an Ohio deer (145 lbs plus) met me broadside at 50 mph…thankfully a few pre ride decisions saved my life and mitigated my injuries…1 - helmet… 2- legitimate riding footwear and 3 - tobacco jeans. Much of my gear had to go in the trash, but 4 weeks later I was back on a (different) two wheeler wearing the same unscathed tobacco jeans. Long term you simply cannot beat the value. Ride safe, wear these jeans and by all means wear a helmet.
Love these pants, perfect for commuting, I’ve been wearing them on the bike, at work, and it’s great being able just to hop on the bike with the peace of mind knowing I’m better protected.
Every expectation met and exceeded. The fit and finish are excellent. I have lived in them on and off my motorcycle. They only have to pass one more test but I hope they never have to. Worth every damn penny. Ronald
Cannot recommend these enough. They’re the perfect fit for riding. Not too tight, but a really clean, slim straight leg look. Fit is true to size. I wear 31” or 32” waste jeans and I went for the 31” tobacco jeans. If you own any raw denim you know that as it breaks in, it relaxes a bit and stretches. 31 was the way to go for me. Also important to note that you do not feel the Kevlar lining at all while wearing these. As far as I can tell they don’t feel any hotter than regular jeans. Can’t wait to break these bad boys in over time and start to see the life in them as they show the signs of my life in them. Again - worth the money 100%. Highly recommend.
I feel like a king when I ride, my wife relaxed behind me and the gallop of our 1992 HD fxrs between our legs. I'm glad to have the kevlar to help if I lay the bike down. And they're very comfortable. I will buy some more soon! Highly recommended
Most protective riding pants I’ve seen look cheap bulky and stiff. Even some with softer feel of poor quality. I can tell that I got an item well worth the price.
The more you use them the more you fly down the highway. These jeans aka archtype are great for on the bike, or going out swing dancing. Every day use and look great doing whatever it is you do.
Exceptional
Was pleasantly surprised! I expect them to be much thicker and uncomfortably heavy. Yes they are slightly heavier than a regular pair of jeans but not to bad. They fit great and the stitching is heavy duty. I figured my a$$ skin is well worth the price.
I bought these pants just about a year ago and I have one major complaint: they are too low cut for pants that are meant to be sat in for long periods of time. I bought my pair 2 sizes up from what I normally wear (36 vs 34) and though I love them for their quality and style, they aren't very functional as riding jeans. The waists are too low such that it creates pressure on your Lower back and butt during long rides that leads to pain and numbness. I thought it was my seat for the longest time - I even upgraded my seat to no avail - but then I wore a pair of soft chinos with a high waste and I had no pain on my long rides. They still look and function great for casual occasions, but I've almost completely avoided wearing them on my bike at all costs.
