We were tired of cheap flannels that start looking shabby after a few washes, and are blown out and worn out after a few years.
Flannels started as a comfortable but hard working shirt for hardworking men. But, not all flannels are created equal, cheap fabrics and cost saving construction results in a poorly made, bad looking shirt.
We wanted to bring back the longevity of good flannel shirts in a modern fit and extra-mile attention to detail. Our fabrics, our fit, our buttons and real leather patch, make Distinctly Crafted Tobacco Flannels are second to none.
Polyester locks in odor and heat. Unlike poly, 100% cotton breathes and is anti-microbial. It keeps you cool in the summer, and warm in the winter. Its super soft and extremely durable. You don't even need a wash between wears, air it and wear it!
A sure fire way to spot a cheap flannel, the pattern at the side seams won't align. It takes extra care in the cutting and sewing to align the often complicated patterns on a flannel shirt. Call us OCD but we do it on the sides and the chest pockets!
We use double-folded "caballo" chain-stitched seams. Many modern factories don't do shirts like this, the machines are expensive and take more time and skill to operate, but it is the strongest, cleanest way to make a flannel to stand the test of time.
Your flannel shouldn't fit like a tablecloth from a church pic-nic. No more sagging arms or big boxy bodies, Our flannels are meant to be worn a little closer to the body, or over a light undershirt. They are sliming in the body and shoulder heavy.

I guess it’s just out in the world somewhere. The tracking number that’s associated with it says a label has been made. However, that’s all the information. That was back on December 12th. Nothing since. I did get a lovely email asking me to review the item tho. Definitely Avoid Tobacco Motorwear!!!! avoid

United StatesGreat flannel! Nice construction. Slimmer fit than I had expected, but still fits well. IMHO, I think fitment is closer to Japanese clothing. Very nice details for a lightweight flannel. Not as fancy or heavy as an Ironheart or UES, but its no slouch. The quality far exceeds a shirt you'd find at a big box store. Great value.

United StatesThe quality of this shirt is top notch! Fantastic shirt. My only issue is the fit. I usually wear a 2x and saw that the shirt is a trim fit so I went with the 3x. The 3x is even a little snug for me. Do not buy the regular length unless you have a very short torso. I had to exchange mine for a 3x Tall to get the extra length needed to cover my stomach if my arms are up but then I ended up with extra long sleeves too. Overall fantastic shirt, go up 1 or 2 sizes depending on how loose you want the shirt. The sizing should definitely be re-done.
United StatesI'm a big person. Usually get 2x or 3x. I ordered the 4x and it fit perfect. I usually don't get compliments on flannels since I live in Southern California and it's a clothing staple. But people have come up to me and asked me who made it cuz it looked so good. I'll be buying more if I can keep getting 4x's.
