While not the cheapest it is worth all the extra money. The fit and finish is great. I ride a Harley but I don''t want to be one of those 'old guys' in chaps and leather vests. This is a great alternative and I know I''ll get to keep my skin if I go down.
Pulled the trigger on Wasteland vest. There are alot cheaper options out there but this is somewhat unique product. I didnt want typical leather Harley vest with Eagle or skulls. The Wasteland is subtle but classic. Old school, well made right here in USA! Shipping was very fast. But what impressed me most was the customer service. Outstanding! They respond quickly & make things right if you are not satisfied. Pay a little extra & get a quality product that you won't see on every other rider. And support a great company.
I was hesitant about ordering this vest at first but the gamble has paid off! One of a kind very stylish and great comfort and fit. Perfect for hot riding days. The perfect balance of subs out Guns out while still having some protection. I got the back insert to go with which I am also happy with. Will order again.
I am a beginner rider, but very excited about this company, the thought put into their products, and over style is executed brilliantly!
Heck yea! When I received the vest I instantly felt better about my expensive purchase, I didn't have to keep making up excuses for why I bought it and that's simply because the quality is there and it will last you your whole life you'll probably be able to pass it down, that's of course if you don't wanna be buried in it! All jokes aside customer service is sweet. Shout out my main man Jeremy! Jeremy tmc customer service guy > all other costumer service guys.
I think this vest is great. I can raise my arms without it pinning my shoulders down. I like the collar. It doesn't stab me in the face and when my beard rubs against it I don't care. It hangs on my body well. I can wear a riding shirt underneath it, but I don't need to and it still looks good. The back insert fits great. I like that added protection. I had the insert in and drove my car and didn't feel limited. I had been watching it for a while and finally decided to go for it. The made in America put me over the top and I knew I could return it no hassle if I didn't like it. I would rather pay a little more for nice piece that will last than buy 3 vests that are just okay. You know what I'm talking about, we buy a sale item that is alright, but then we want a new one a few weeks later. Now I have a closet full of okay items that I don't wear or use.
Nice vest but over priced.. Had a custom leather best made and didn't cost this much.
I had been looking for a casual riding vest that could be worn on or off the bike. When I caught wind of TMC on social media I instantly fell in love with there style of riding gear. I am 5'10 about 215 so I ordered a Xl and it fits perfect with a little give also incase I wanna wear a sweater under neath. We are in the hottest Cali summer so I'm curious how it will do in the heat but it's seems thick enough for the winters with layers. Also as awesome as the vest is TMC's customer service is just as amazing. When my order got a little messed up due to an error on my end they were extremely accommodating by recognizing the issue and getting me the right size shipped ASAP to enjoy by the weekend. I will definitely be recommending to others as well as continuing to buy!
I bought this to add an extra level of protection to my California riding shirt. (I am uncomfortable just wearing that while going 65 (approximately, sort of) down the freeway.) I use the California riding shirt because its very cool in hot weather, and I was hoping the vest would still have good airflow. The good: It adds that protection (it feels like there may be an aramid fiber layer, but even if not, its still extra canvas). It has a back pad pocket. Its comfortable and well cut for riding. The waxed canvas is very water resistant. Riding through a torrential rainstorm will still get you soaked but it will take longer. The bad, and why it doesn't get four stars: Its lined with quilted satin. The satin blocks a lot of the airflow, and the quilting adds a bit of heat. Not much, but enough to makes it hotter than it needs to be in 85 deg weather. I recognize that the waxed canvas blocks a lot of airflow, but the satin and quilting block even more. Also, if you manage to soak it through because you've ridden through a rainstorm, it takes significantly longer to dry than if it were lined in something else. If it were lined in the same fabric as the California shirt, this would get a full 5 stars. As it is, it only gets 4 stars. Still a fantastic piece of gear. While the prices are higher here than they may be for other equivalent gear, the prices are worth it. Well made gear made in house by a small company is a good thing, even if the prices are a little higher.
Bad to the bone. Great material and it will only get better over time. You can't even notice the back armor as well. My 4th TMC purchase. I love each thing. See ya out there on the open road
