The California Riding Shirt is the best of the best. I have several pieces in of Tobacco Motorwear. They are by far the best things I have hanging in my closet. The customer service and the quality of each piece is unmatched by anything on the market today. Everything is comfortable right out of the box, and the fit/cut is spot on. I would recommend Tobacco to anyone who wants comfortable clothing that stands out from the generic and lasts forever.
Customer service: The biggest challenge for many of us buying clothing via internet is fitment, what's right for one may not be right for another. These guys have an amazing customer service and are willing to go extra mile to make sure that customer is satisfied. Sizing: I'm a 6.1" 220lb 44-45 chest and tried an XL first, it felt baggy on me I could fit a fist in between my chest and shirt. So I exchanged it on Large, and it fits quite well and I still have a little space left so I can wear a t-shirt and not feel constrained. Quality: No complaints at all, It's been couple of weeks so far and the shirt started showing a character (in a good sense) Good job guys, keep up good work!
This riding shirt is amazing, was a little skeptical at first about the quality and sizing, but I'm so glad I ordered it. The fitment was perfect I emailed the really helpful team here my measurements and within Hours they suggested what size I needed. My favorite part is that I can even wear it out, it fits great isn't bulky, and looks good. This riding shirt screams quality, and the fact that it's made locally in the USA makes it that much better, when you put it on you can feel that the guys who designed it care about their product. Just for reference I'm 6'3 250lbs and have a 50 inch chest, and the 3XL fits me like it was custom made for me.
This is my first Tobacco Motorwear piece of clothing after following the brand for well over a year. Well, I finally pulled the trigger on this piece, anticipating the start of riding season in the Midwest. I measured myself and some of my favorite pieces of clothing to ensure that I selected the correct size, and determined that a size Large would fit: I am 5'10", 200lb with a 44-45" chest with a little extra padding around the midsection. The Large fits perfect in my arms, shoulders, chest, and torso length, with a slimming fit that is snug in the midsection without being tight or uncomfortable. I can easily fit either a t-shirt or a button-down shirt underneath, and I can wear anything heavier over the Riding Shirt (just as the description suggests). Plus, I ordered the elbow armor, which feels great. My only desires are for (1) attached collar points and (2) no leather patch on the front. I have noticed that the collar points end up flying around while I cruise at swifter speeds, and it would be nice if they snapped down. The leather patch on the front, while handsome, isn't necessary and clutters up the front a bit. I plan to remove mine as well as attach my collars with small snaps. However, these are the smallest of quibbles and I can easily modify my shirt to fit my preferences. In conclusion, this is the nicest, best riding shirt that I have tried on (that is made in the USA) and I am very pleased with my purchase.
To help those with questions about fitment; this piece definitely fits more slim. It has a nice cut and hugs the body more than my other riding shirts. Not a bad thing depending on your ridIng position. I ordered a 2xl. I wear a 54R in suits for reference. The arm length and length of the shirt are awesome. Enough room in the shoulders and armpit. I do have room around the stomach to zipper up without feeling like I'm wearing something too small. I definitely guessed when ordering it and I'm glad I ordered a size up. Let's talk quality now. It is definitely nice. No doubt I knew it would be based on my jean purchase. It feels nice and it is weighs less than I thought it would be. The denim material feels top notch. All around , it feels , fits , and looks awesome! Worth the cash if you have it. My only real complaint. It has some big ass pockets but no zippers on the outside to close them up. Not going to lie, that was a little disappointing but not a deal breaker. I do like that has elbow pockets for armor but for $300 they should be included. Over all, you would be satisfied with purchasing one. Especially since no other company is making something similar to it in regards to materials being used. I like the story behind the shirt, the fact it's made in the USA , and small business. I'm always up for supporting a USA brand. Especially one that makes items for the rider! Thanks Tobacco! Definitely feel like an outlaw wearing the Folsom!
