The McCoy Jacket and the Wasteland Vests both have pockets for back armor. The McCoy comes with all the armor included, but the Wasteland Vest does not include the armor. It has to be bought separately.

I. Any get enough of this companies products. I’ve purchased a backpack, the wasteland vest, pair of gloves and the wicked glove holder, lost some weight… bought a smaller wasteland vest and just keep coming back for more. Every item has been built for longterm west and rear and has heavy duty construction to it all. I’ll be circling back for a California riding shirt, some jeans, and likely the dark horse vest as well.

The Dark Horse vest is everything they say it is and more. The inside pockets are nice and deep and the vest is so comfortable I didn't have to break it in at all. The back armor I got with it is unnoticeable so I don't even take it out unless to wash. Only slightly shorter then I was expecting but not an issue worth docking points for.

I purchased the Dark Horse Vest in black with the D30 back protector. This is the best non leather that I’ve found on the market. It is very durable with 56% Kevlar 44% Cotton blend. The Dark Horse Vest looks badass and is comfortable. Tobacco Motorwear has excellent customer support and was a pleasure to deal with.
