Do you offer customizations?

We have offered customizations in the past, however, our team currently does not have the capacity to fulfill these requests en masse. We are hoping to bring this feature back soon, keeping the options for modifications concentrated. If you are interested in a bulk or wholesale order, please reach out to us directly at contact@tobaccomotorwear.com

Products and Manufacturing

Do your products have a lifetime warranty?

We warrant our items to be free from factory flaws or defects for the lifetime of the product. If your item has a flaw or defect, return it to us and we will repair or replace the product with a comparable item. These are wearables and like all clothing, components of clothing, and materials, they have a lifespan. All Tobacco Motorwear products are built to last. Depending on use, they eventually may need to be replaced. Our warranty covers flaws of material and/or craftsmanship should it fail prematurely; it does not cover normal wear and tear.

Please contact us at contact@tobaccomotorwear.com for any questions regarding the warranty or lifetime guarantee.

Are Tobacco Motorwear products made in the USA?

All Tobacco Motorwear protective riding gear is made downtown Los Angeles, California. The majority of our products are designed and produced in Los Angeles, California, USA. When producing outside the USA, we partner only with trusted global craftspeople and make a point to visit each facility.

What is your protective safety lining made of and where is this protection?

The protective lining is made of 100% Dupont™ Kevlar® and is 290 GSM.

It is utilized in key zones that are highly susceptible to road rash. In our riding pants, the 100% Dupont™ Kevlar® fiber lining covers from the thighs to shins on the front, and the whole seat area on the back of the pants. In Riding Shirts, the Kevlar covers from elbows to wrists, the shoulders, and the upper back. See individual product pages for clear graphics.

Is all of Tobacco clothing lined with Dupont™ Kevlar®?

While virtually all of our protective products feature Dupont™ Kevlar® linings, some feature additional protective materials - such as D3O® armor to offer the protection you need, where you need it most.

Why are your products expensive?

Using top-notch construction, premium materials, and manufacturing all of our protective clothing in the USA allows us to create products that are more durable and last longer. Our products are designed to provide maximum protection, value, and enjoyment. What is your safety worth to you? Many months, and even years, go into the research and development of our products. We have acquired CE rating and official Dupont™ Kevlar® licensing and certification to formally ensure that our products really do what we say they do: keep riders like you protected and looking stylish!

We utilize the most efficient shipping methods we can. Your order normally goes out within 24 hrs of receipt, or the next business day if it is a weekend. International orders may be subject to customs duty fees which have to be paid before the shipment is released to you. If you're unsure on whether you'll be subject to customs fees, we recommend contacting your local customs office for more information before placing your order. You will not be eligible for an order refund should you decide not to pay these fees once your shipment is processed by the Customs department of your country.

Waxed Canvas Bags or Gear

Screen Print Care: Do's

Definitely wash screen-printed garments inside out. This protects the screen print from abrasions from other items sharing the washer.
Wash screen-printed items with those made of the same (or similar) fabrics to decrease pilling and lint transferring.
Use a very mild detergent or a product like Woolite™ when washing screen-printed clothing.
Always wash in cool water. All water temperatures below 90° Fahrenheit are safe for screen-printed garments.
Hand-wash the garment if possible or use the washing machine’s gentle cycle.
Hang the garment or lay it flat to dry.
Use a cool iron, if necessary, and iron the screen-printed garment inside out.
Iron the screen-printed garment between two pieces of cloth to protect the design.

Screen Print Care: Don'ts

Don’t dry clean screen-printed items. The chemicals in the dry cleaning process can cause spotting or staining.
Avoid bleach, especially chlorine bleach; the agents in bleach will discolor fabric threads and the dyes used in screen-printing.
Do not use fabric softener on screen-printed garments. Fabric softeners degrade the ink used in the screen-printing process and
causes cracking and/or fading of the screen-printed areas.
If ironing the screen-printed item, do not use steam.
