These leggings are soft and good quality. Would be great for long legged beauties; I have a shorter inseam, so the knee pad slots don’t exactly match up with my anatomy. No biggie! 4 stars because the armor is not included. So for the price of $160 just for the leggings, I’m not sure it’s worth the purchase unfortunately.
Love the fact that I can ride with this and workout with it too. So comfortable.
comfortable and fit a tad bigger then expected.
I was expecting a little different. From what I read when they were first taking pre-orders, I expected a little more protection in the weave of the fabric for possible sliding if you go down while wearing them. They feel like nothing more than my regular gym leggings with pockets for optional knee and hip pads. The pockets are positioned well and the pads are comfortable. The leggings tend to bunch behind my knee, and become uncomfortable after a short period of time. I have to constantly reposition them. I found loose threads in the inner seams. For the price I expected a little better quality assurance. I have ridden with them and found them overall comfortable, except for the bunching behind the knees. I was hoping for something with a little more protection in the event of an accident. Other than the previously mentioned pads, I feel that these would offer no more protection than my $20 leggings that I purchased at a national discount store. I pre-ordered these at the initial offering. I understand the long wait time, several months, due to quality control issues, however communication was horrible with Tobacco Motorwear. I had to email them to find out what the delay was and if my order was lost. Due to the pricing of the gear and the extended wait for a prepaid order, I would expect a mass email or some type of communication explaining the delay. Also, my email was not replied to. I had to email a second time over a month later to receive a reply. That reply was over a week after my email. I wasn't harassingly emailing, just a couple trying to locate my order. Honestly, for the price and protection I would not recommend them. For hip and knee protection, they are good. As for sizing, I went with the size I normally wear in gym leggings. It was the correct size. If I went with the sizing chart offered on the web site, they would have been way too big. To top off everything, they did not send the free t-shirt that they were offering at the time I ordered.
Experiencing my first Vegas Summer is holding me back from riding. It’s too hot to wear my riding pants so with the Brazen Base Layer Bottom, I finally rode my bike two weeks ago (8/12) to the Crossfit gym and I didn’t need to change to my workout leggings. I did burpees, 65 lbs shoulder to overhead and wall walks with it and it stayed up and secured plus super comfortable.
So I originally pre-purchased these off the previous size chart. Then they sent the new one when they had the first batch of the product, essentially to double-check sizes and give us a chance to change size before they sent them out. I double-checked the current size chart with them bc it's not typical that women's bottoms have a waist close to the same size as the hip (maybe bc they're measuring low hip?) Anyway, I'm happy to report that because they are stretchy they fit my curves just fine (43-ish waist, 50-ish hip). The design is great for what I wanted- a protected pair of leggings that I could wear to my gym and back. It's a quick ride, but I hate being unprotected because you never know. So these will be a lot easier to wear than the overpants I've been using over my gym tights. I'll just put these on, put in the armor, go, take out armor at the gym and work out. I pretty much never review things, but I did want to say that the size chart is funky, these are stretchy but not see-through, and while I'm not sure they could be your only armored pants, they will serve certain purposes really, really well. So I was skeptical, and now I'm a believer. I may even by a second pair.
