For example, if you measure your body and those measurements BEST line up with a size 30, then you need to order a size 28.
Made For Women Who Ride!
We are beyond excited to introduce our most protective women’s jeans yet. These are the Tobacco Boondocks Overalls!
After months of on-the-road testing and revisions - we've perfected the newest addition to our ever-expanding women's line. Most brands don't put a lot of thought into their women's gear - we're over it, come on! Some pink trim isn't gonna cut it.
Women riders deserve solid protection and demand first rate style. Our jet black Boondocks Overalls do both! Tobacco sources only premium denim from the best mills in the world. Our deep black denim is pre-washed and has a slight stretch to give you freedom to ride comfortably, and safely.
Boondocks provide just enough roominess to embody that classic overalls look, while still keeping a tailored fit and profile . These are our first women's pants with invisible pouches for D30 armor in both the knees and hips - game changer. You can hardly tell when it's in place.
Just like our women’s skinny jeans and Riveter riding shirts, Boondocks come with breathable abrasion resistant lining that cover all your crash zones. Ever seen one of our gnarly drag tests? We've got you covered.
Tobacco uses premium stretch denim for its durability and ability to conform to each woman's shape - Boondocks look better and better the more you wear them. And the button-adjustable waist gives riders the chance to trim up or loosen the fit slightly to accommodate under layers.
Boondocks are protective yet breathable! Depending on whether you size up or down, some riders found enough room to also wear a light base layer underneath, for those super brisk rides.
These are not your grandma's overalls...

Love these overalls! I ride a sports bike and they were really comfortable. I felt great in them too. Sizing was spot on.
After waiting some time to get these, I was so excited when they finally arrived. I followed the sizing instructions on the site and felt fairly comfortable with my choice after reading some of the other reviews. Now, I can deal with them being too long, I knew that was a given, but they’re easy to roll up or get hemmed. My issue was the fit around the upper legs. The rest felt comfortable and not too tight, but the tightness around the upper legs resulted in my exchange for the next size up. They’re still snug around the thighs, but now I move my legs around. I do not have skinny legs. The rest of it feels loose but comfy. I consider myself to have an athletic build. For reference, I am 5’2” and 130#. Everything else about the Boondocks is awesome. They are comfy, well made, and super cute. Oh, and the exchange process was super easy. They’ll take care of you if you need it. Looking forward to long rides with my new Boondocks.
Love these! If you have to have only one piece of riding specific gear, it’s worth waiting for these. It can be hard to catch them because they are made in small batches, but they really were worth the wait. Two small words of caution, and I saw this in the reviews - really pay attention to the thigh measurement. I would actually encourage you to size up. I went more on the exact sizing, but it was too small. So size up. Also, the Velcro inside for the hip armor pouches is pretty scratchy. And there is no armor available now so that’s kind of uncomfortable. But still they are great. Also, as you will know if you’ve been looking at reviews there is a 36 inch inseam, so prepare to either roll up or alter. And still - with all this, best piece of motorcycle clothing out there!
I love my overalls! Super cute and comfortable. A little long but you can just cuff them.
The customer service was outstanding. The overalls are so cute I could spit. They fit great, they feel great, they look great, they protect you; thrilled!
After MONTHS of having my eye on a pair of these, I finally decided to go do it. I’m 5’4”/135lbs and snagged a size 26. I went with the reviews and really paid attention to the thigh measurement so chose the size that matched closest to that and I’m very happy I did. Everything fits super nicely…except the leg length; they’re about 8 inches too long haha. Had to sew in some snaps so the cuffed pant legs didn’t get stuck on the foot pegs while on the bike. That said, these are SO NICE to ride in. They’re stretchy and thick so they move with me, I just love the warmth and protection! And I got a compliment at the gas station on my first ride with these :)
Love my new Boondocks! They fit per how my measurements matched up on the website. They were comfortable for a 3 day moto-camping trip. And I got a ton of compliments.
I've had a hard time finding riding jeans that don't make me look like I'm wearing my dad's pants. Skinny jeans are always way too big in the thigh and calf area, so wearing something intentionally loose is the answer. These are amazing. I initially ordered a 28 based on my measurements, but they are a bit snug around the waist, so I'm sizing up to a 30. I don't want them too tight when I'm riding. I'm 5'6", 130 lbs, and I carry most of my extra weight around my waist. The quality and style of these are perfection.
I have yet to find a pair of protective jeans that has the long inseams I need, so I contacted Tobacco and they recommended the Boondocks. With a 35" inseam I'm beyond thrilled. I thought they may be stiff and take some time to break-in, but was really impressed when they were comfy right out of the package and stretchy when I jumped on my bike. So not just fitting great off the bike. I love overalls, but was a little hesitant to get the kevlar ones. Now I'm sold and happy to wear them everywhere! Great pair of jeans, comfortable and gives me the peace of mind that if I go down there will be something to protect me from road rash that still looks super cool.
I feel bad giving such a low rating so let me start by saying: any interactions I've had with the employees of Tobacco have been five star. The exchange process was easy, and when doing the returns process it was basically no questions asked. I'm literally across the country so the time between exchanges took as long as it took and they always sent products back in a priority post marked package. First pair was missing hardware for the shoulder claps and had dubious finishing; lots of sloppy seams. Happens, right? Second pair had a mis-struck snap back on the chest pocket (snap not attached or attachable) and the tolerances on the hip buttons where so bad they wouldnt stay shut. Okay then. Third pair was the pair I ended up keeping but I have already spent time fixing blown out seams and cleaning up messy finishing around the zippers. There is more stitching I need to redo on critical areas like belt loops and waist line. Just really not the quality advertised or expected. So disappointed I'm not sure I'll ever buy again from this company, and I wanted to believe in them so badly.
