• Tri-ventilation for superior breathabilityThis set fits both the Tobacco Ironside Armored Jeans and the Women's Boondocks.
The D3O® LP1 range utilizes the latest material innovation from D3O® which offers increased ventilation. CE certified to level 1 across ambient, wet and cold conditions, the D3O® LP2 pads, building on the tri-ventilation technology used in the LP1 range, offer similar breathability and comfort while meeting the highest certified level of motorcycle protection.
An advanced, patented polymer, CE-ratedD3O® impact protectors are the latest advancement in protective armor. D3O® impact protectors utilize intelligent molecules that lock together on impact. Because of this, the impact protector can be made thinner and lighter, making a jacket more comfortable and easier to wear. However, this decreased size does not come at the expense of impact protection.

Did not receive Velcro attachment
Lightweight, and doesn't move around much. I would give 5 stars but I have yet to receive my hip armor.
Got my Leggings and jacket, so excited have been waiting for awhile to come in. Went for a ride and the armor felt great and flexible, better than I thought it would feel. Janet fits great and actually keeps wind out! Def. A bonus, the leggings feel good and armor fits perfect int he pockets however just a tad big however I still like them. Last couple moto leggings I purchased were so extremely tight they were uncomfortable had to return them. These however were not so. Love the purchase! May have sized down to a small in leggings however.
I’m 5’3, 150lbs. Larger in the chest and bum area and I settled on a size 36. They fit comfortably over leggings or shorts. I like how the hip buttons have one extra slot to make them tighter. However, there isn’t another button to occupy the extra slot- so when they’re buttoned tighter, the fabric sticks out on the sides. I will add my own buttons for this purpose. Also, these would be better if they had slits with Velcro or zippers so you could slide them over your boots. At 5’3, I’m on the shorter end but these don’t come in shorter leg lengths. I have a couple pretty big cuffs on the bottoms and also had to adjust the straps to the point where the hardware is on the elastic portion. The knee armor slots are just barely in the right spot too for me. I love the quality and I’m looking forward to wearing these in on my motorcycle camping trip in Spain. Also looking forward to see future products by this company. It’s really hard to find good quality, cute safety gear for riding!! Thanks, Tobacco Motorwear!
Super nice and comfortable customer service was quick to respond with any questions that I had!
100% satisfied with the product
My Ironside Jeans are extremely comfortable and a must wear whenever I ride. Added a Bandito shirt this season. It matches the same level quality and comfort as the jeans. Recently I bought Boondocks for my GF. Can't have her any less protected. Backing the product is tremendous customer support led by Cisco. He is attentive and a pleasure to communicate with. Can't say enough good things about the product or the people at Tobacco Motowear.
Superb quality and comfort on the jeans. Arguably can be seen as a normal pair and are rugged. The boots are comfortable and stylish, but the stitching on the soles have not quite won me over. However, they look great and are tough.
Beautiful quality. Armour fits great and isn’t intrusive. I ordered the wrong size initially, Cisco was super helpful through the return process and it went without issue despite my being in a different country than where the jeans come from. Wouldn’t hesitate to order more products from Tobacco 10/10
I recently purchased a pair of Ironsides with the D30 inserts (knee and hip pads) and the jeans look and fit great. Denim: feels soft and looks great. I’m happy to wear the jeans to work and out to dinner (when riding), and none of my friends could tell they were motorcycle jeans until I unzipped the knee pockets and showed them the pads. The denim looks and feels like a premium pair of jeans. Kevlar: When I'm riding I don’t think twice about the Kevlar. I do feel it when walking around and it is a little bit warmer, but I find them comfortable and I’m happy to have the protection. D30 Knee and Hip Pads: The D30 material is used by several brands so my assumption is they will work when needed. Hopefully I will never find out but I am happy to have them. There are a few things I have noticed with the knee and hip pad placement. The hip pad sits below my hip / Iliac Crest and really protects the top of my femur. I am not sure how I feel about this but it seems better than nothing to me. The pocket for the knee pads is fairly big so the pads can move around inside. There is a velcro strip inside for the pads to velcro too but in my case I was sent elbow pads which has the same shape as knee pads but does not have any velcro on it. My pads settle towards the bottom of the knee pad pocket which feels a bit weird when walking around as it’s below my knee and on the top of my shin. I do notice that when I am riding the knee pads find their way to the correct location and are both comfortable and correctly positioned for protection. In my pair of jeans the velcro strip inside the knee pocket runs at an angle from the inside of my thigh to the the outside of my knee. Even though I would have preferred to have been shipped knee pads with velcro I chose not to exchange them (Tobacco offered) because they would not line up with the velcro that’s in the knee pockets. My plan is to continue to use the jeans as is and if I find the velcro to not be needed, I will remove it from the jeans. If the velcro was centered, I would have added velcro to my knee pads to make it work. Knee Pocket Zipper: The website shows a bar-tac above and below the zipper. The pair I was shipped does not have this and personally I like it without the contrasting bar-tac. This way the zipper is not noticeable and until I un-zip the pocket to show friends that there is a pocket, they have no idea. It’s really nice. The hidden zipper allows me to remove my pads very quickly and this is part of the reason why I am using the pads without the velcro. When I get off the bike if I am going to walk around for awhile I just remove the pads. Length: The jeans are very long and you’ll likely need to roll them up or get the hemmed. In my case I chose to have them hemmed and they look great. Summary: I love the jeans. They look great, the denim is rich in color and I can choose to use the D30 protection or not. I followed the sizing advice on the website and errored up in size and I am happy that I did. In truth, if it wasn’t for the price I would buy several pair. Who knows, in time I may find myself there anyways but it is the only thing holding me back.
