The Caballo Relaxed Fit features a higher rise and looser fit throughout. This wasthe cut that turned blue jeans into a popular fashion item back in the 1950s and has been popular ever since. The strong folded inseams and out-seams giveCaballos their name. This sturdy, clean construction was first used among cowboys who were tired of their seams, and still signifies a superior quality jean. The 13oz raw indigo denim will fade and patina as you break them in; conforming to your body to become a perfect fit unique to you.
We take pride in the fact that many of our products are still made in the USA. It not only means better quality, but it allows us to invest more into local workers and businesses that support our company and industry. From cutting and sewing to fabric and even our full grain leather patches these jeans are built to last in L.A. When 99% of all apparel is imported, it feels good to be part of the 1%.

I went out on a couple rides with my Caballo riding jeans now and for me they have been the best riding jeans I have purchased..It’s plain that these are a step above what I normally get in denim to include my other brand riding jeans. I’m confident I have proper protection with these jeans. They are very comfortable too, a bit of stiffness at first but within an hour broke in nicely. No pinch points or too tight this and that while I’m rolling on the bike. I I’m going on a 6500 loop of the US in May from So Cal to DC and back and these will be what I put on everyday. I don’t mind the price on these because they are serious riding jeans along with being made in the USA. All good.
These pants are amazing. Very comfortable and very durable. Only thing I wish they came in different lengths.
I want to lead with this; The quality of materials and craftmanship of these jeans is on par with any other jean at this price point. Secondly, THEY'RE MADE IN THE USA! This country NEEDS more manufacturing brought back here, but it can't be done if people don't buy USA made products to show that it's a viable business model. BUY LOCAL! Now for the loss of star rating. It's due to fitment. I don't really fully blame Tobacco for this either, as I'm not a typical shape when it comes to jeans, and I REALLY struggle to find jeans/pants that fit me properly. To be blunt, I exercise regularly and I never miss leg day, but my diet isn't perfect. I'm 6'2", 200lbs and my BMI hovers around 25. Ideally, I would wear a 35" waist, but they're very hard to find, so I usually end up in a 36 and HAVE to wear a belt. The measurements online made it seem like the relaxed fit Caballo's in the 36 should work, but in reality, the waist is far too large, and the seat and thigh are too small. this issue is created by the fact that most clothing manufacturers basically split the hip measurement in half. But if you're built with a big butt and smaller waist, this creates a situation where you have too much material in the front half of the jean, and not enough material in the seat half of the jean. This is a REALLY common issue for me. When I have all my winter gear on, they're just a bit uncomfortable, but not terribly so. I think once summer hits, I'll have the waist taken in and have the seat and thigh let out a little bit and they'll be OK. I'll buy the next size up next winter and have them altered. Also, as others have said, the length is VERY long. I assume they do this so you can cuff them enough times to not have them unroll. Not really my style though, so I'll have them hemmed, but that's a minor thing for my seamstress to do when she's taking in the waist and letting out the seat. Lastly, if anyone at Tobacco is reading this, if you could make a pair of jeans in the Levi 541 style, you'd have a customer for life in me. They're specifically designed for someone with my build and they're the only jeans/pants I buy now, because they're the only ones I can buy and not have to get tailored to fit. Also, thank you so much for creating an American company! I'm looking forward to continue doing business with you, just keep the manufacturing here!
This is the second pair of jeans that I have purchased from Tobacco and they are the absolute best if you want looks, safety and functionality. I am a life-long customer. You will not be disappointed. Exceptional!!!
This is my second set of tobacco jeans. Fresh out of the box, They’re definitely stiff and you do have to break them in. It’s like a new pair of boots. They are very comfortable and they look pretty cool with my McCoy!
I’m 6’1”, weigh 205lb., and have a 38” waist. The size 36 fits perfectly. The length of the pant is great for a riding pant since they are plenty long no matter what position my legs are when riding. The stitching and the material are definitely quality. I love that they are USA made. These are my first Tobacco product to purchase and would without a doubt purchase again and recommend to anyone else who wants a quality pair of riding jeans.
Looks and feels great and a great compliment to the Maverick boots!
Great piece of gear. Aside from the fact that these particular pair of jeans will help minimize road rash in the unfortunate chance your bike goes down, they are an excellent pair of jeans. I have 2 pairs of the original with button fly, one pair of Caballos from last year, and a pair of Arch style. A few improvement I see with the latest pair of Caballos… -the denim used is a little lighter and has more give. I just spent the week riding in 90 - 100 + degree weather and these jeans felt light and unrestrictive. Plenty of air flow to cool off the boys when rip’n down the highway. -I received the jeans 4 days after placing the order. -TMC has started putting Caballo right on the inside label. That is a plus in my book. Pricey, yes. Worth it? Definitely.
I was worried the Kevlar would make these hot, honestly I barely notice it. Love the look and feel!
great firt, I like the relaxed cut. excellent protection built in. Definitely buying another pair soon.
