The Bridger Jacket - Brown
While we’re known mostly for our stylish and protective moto gear, we wanted to make something that we could wear all winter without resorting to all the puffy, synthetic overly technical winter wear that normally comes out this time of year. That’s why we created the Bridger Jacket by Tobacco Motorwear and Pack Animal!
Waxed cotton work jackets have been a staple of country trails and city streets for decades. The bridger jacket is a salute to the heritage of those jackets while updating the fit for a more modern silhouette.
The waxy shell makes an excellent wind breaker and quilted flannel lining will keep you cozy. Wear it by itself or layer with a sweater or hoody for even more protection from the elements.
There are 5 ample pockets for anything you need to carry and the front hand pockets are fully lined with soft flannel and feature pocket flaps that tuck in and out of the way.
We made a small run for the winter and when they’re gone they’re gone so grab one while you can.
Exactly what I wanted. I feel safer riding with this and stylish
I purchased the McCoy and the Bridger. Both have been great. However, the Bridger is definitely warmer, obviously. Both are great at keeping the elements out. But, they're not to be confused with highly technical gear, think Patagonia, Columbia etc. The Tobacco products won't keep you completely dry in constant rain. The canvas can only handle so much rain before it begins to lose it's waterproofing. Of course, the situations where you'd be in constant rain for a while, are likely few and far in between. I experienced the jackets list during 2+ hour hikes in constant rain, snow and slush. Overall, the fit for both are on point. I'm 5'9" tall and about 187lbs. Roughly a 31" waist with a 42" chest. The Bridger is a bit more snug than the McCoy, (since I removed all the D30 pads) this makes sense. I did layer with each jacket on, and both were flattering but not overly slim. For consideration, I had on thermals, an undershirt, Henley and flannel. Sometimes, I'd throw on a cardigan. All these items fit snug, but still allowed movement. I was in Iceland during their wintrt, this is why I had on so many layers. Overall, I'm pleased with both purchases. Drawbacks are clearing, re-waterproofing and long term weather resistance. I've yet to experience a fall... Hope this review helps!!
Great jacket and fit. Excellent craftsmanship, highly recommend for motorcycle riding.
I couldn't be happier with the jacket. I'd been looking for a good lined tincloth jacket to pick up that'll last for years, and can say from my first impression that the quality of the materials and craftsmanship is immediately evident. I also had a really nice interaction with customer service, and will definitely pick up more stuff from Tobacco down the road. For sizing reference, I'm 6'1 and weigh around 180-190 usually, and a large is a good fit for me. Not too baggy, pretty snug, but just enough room to still layer underneath on especially cold days.
Outstanding winter jacket! 1) great quality; heavy waxed canvas, quilted inner lining brass buttons and zippers. 2) Modern, minimal style that looks subtlety different from other jackets. 3) Warm without being bulky. The only thing I could knock on this coat is that it is hard to layer with the lining. The fit runs slim, so I’d recommend sizing up.
This jacket feels solid and heavy, really nice. I just wish the arms were longer. When you have your arms forward on handlebars, the sleeves just don’t get anywhere near my gloves…like need a couple more inches but maybe thats just me.
Amazing product!
The most proper waxed canvas jacket i could have asked for for my first chill motorcycle jacket. Versatile for the outdoors and cooler nights, and even better for a leisurely cruise around southern california. This is a jacket i’ll absolutely pass to my son, and its not just because it’ll actually last long enough for my son to age into it, but because it has a timeless feel and appeal that i can’t wait for him to experience. No notes, im sold on the brand and this jacket was all it took
I’ve personally never been complimented on something I was wearing, everytime I wear the bridger jacket I have received a compliment. So style 100% quality 100%. 6’2 330lbs I ordered a 3XL fit is snug and I have to wear it open. I wish the size was more true to regular sizes thus why I give 4 stars. I have plenty of 2XL jackets that fit perfectly.
Great jacket just wished the quilted liner was sewed into the jacket more so it doesnt shift around.
