As women riders we don't want to sacrifice style for safety, or vice versa. We know the importance of solid protective gear and want the peace of mind knowing there's something between us and the road if things go sideways.
But, most women's gear feels like a second-thought version of men's gear, or something some guys designed thinking, "girls will like this, it's pink!"
We think we can do better. The Riveter Riding Shirt was designed by women riders, for women riders with protection and fashion in mind.
We know the risks of riding, but it hasn't stopped us yet! Still, the old saying, it's not if you go down but when, is sadly a little too true. That's why smart riders use protection!
Road rash hurts. The Riveter Riding Shirt features a protective lining in the elbows, forearms, shoulders and back, protecting your skin from the scraping hot road.
Elbows go down hard. Often the first point of contact in a moto accident, the Riveter has pockets for removable CE rated D3O® armor to save your funny bones from serious bumps and bangs.
Just because we ride motorcycles doesn't mean we want to be mistaken for a dude. On the contrary, we're proud to be women riders and want our gear to look as good as we do!
Vintage Western Style. The Riveter was based on one of our favorites, the western denim shirt. It's fitted for a woman's body and has all those country lines and pearl snaps that make these shirts a super cute classic.
Special Fabrics and Colors. We selected amazing shells like faded indigo canvas and black herringbone denim, then added vintage washed linings, in a unique western floral pattern, to the back and cuffs. Just enough to make it pop!

The quality and fit are great. I really love the color advertised in the picture on the website but this shirt is much darker navy. I still like it but I really wanted the lighter shade of denim.
I bought this shirt for its good looks and as a lighter alternative to my riding jacket. After taking a sliding spill on my bike, the shirt ended up with a large tear up my back... but the skin of my arms and back were untouched. Big fan. The armor when inserted isn't too bulky, and feels secure and effective for protecting elbows. It's an excellent investment.
I love my Riveter riding shirt! I wear it with armor for riding, its comfortable and gives me confidence to go just a lil bit faster. I had to exchange for one size smaller, and Customer Service was awesome! Outta this world! Fast response from a real person, and super helpful and accommodating. 10/10 will buy something again! Got my eye on dem Boondocks!
This shirt is exactly what i was looking for to ride in many different weather situations. I can add a layer under or over it or wear it on its own. The stitching is strong and beautifully worked, the material is not too stiff. The color works well with all my riding gear. I love this thing!
Just got my shirt in the mail and am instantly impressed at the fit and lightness. Ya'll it is hard as hell finding some plus size clothing, especially protective gear, that isn't bulky AF. Stoked to find this brand and stock up on some goodies.
I tried this shirt on at the IMS show in Long Beach and I was hooked. The biggest decision was trying to decide between the black and the blue. I wound up going with the blue and sized down so the shirt fits a little snug on me. It fits great and the construction of it is hands down, top notch. I hear a lot of people complain about the cost of Tobacco goods, but you're paying for quality that will last and something that is made locally. My only gripe (and only) about the shirt is the pink lining in the blue shirt. It's not that major so I went with it anyway, you don't notice it much, just barely on the cuffs of the sleeves...and that's the only issue which isn't even an issue at all. The fabric is sturdy and the collar easily stays put at highway speeds, there's also pockets for elbow armor. Thanks Tobacco for making an awesome, good looking western style Kevlar shirt for women that looks good on. Now I need to figure out what to get chain stitched on it. =)
