For example, if you measure your body and those measurements BEST line up with a size 30, then you need to order a size 28.
Made For Women Who Ride!
We are beyond excited to introduce our most protective women’s jeans yet. These are the Tobacco Boondocks Overalls!
After months of on-the-road testing and revisions - we've perfected the newest addition to our ever-expanding women's line. Most brands don't put a lot of thought into their women's gear - we're over it, come on! Some pink trim isn't gonna cut it.
Women riders deserve solid protection and demand first rate style. Our jet black Boondocks Overalls do both! Tobacco sources only premium denim from the best mills in the world. Our deep black denim is pre-washed and has a slight stretch to give you freedom to ride comfortably, and safely.
Boondocks provide just enough roominess to embody that classic overalls look, while still keeping a tailored fit and profile . These are our first women's pants with invisible pouches for D30 armor in both the knees and hips - game changer. You can hardly tell when it's in place.
Just like our women’s skinny jeans and Riveter riding shirts, Boondocks come with breathable abrasion resistant lining that cover all your crash zones. Ever seen one of our gnarly drag tests? We've got you covered.
Tobacco uses premium stretch denim for its durability and ability to conform to each woman's shape - Boondocks look better and better the more you wear them. And the button-adjustable waist gives riders the chance to trim up or loosen the fit slightly to accommodate under layers.
Boondocks are protective yet breathable! Depending on whether you size up or down, some riders found enough room to also wear a light base layer underneath, for those super brisk rides.

These are not only a great piece to invest in but are also super cute and comfy. I even wear mine when I’m not riding because I love them so much.
I was very disappointed in ship times, didn't ship for over 8 business days, so delivery took well over 2 weeks. Was not thrilled with that for the price. Love them but one of the seams is already fraying on the inner leg after 4 rides and 1 wash. If anyone else had something comparable, I wouldn't recommend these, but I love the rest. Go off thigh size, sized up 3 for my quads (weightlifting) and glad there are bib straps because they don't touch my hips/waist. Good length and I'm 5'10" and usually need long length.
I had every intention of returning these bibs...I tried them on and thought they might be too tight to be comfortable riding. Got my RMA number but then the morning I was intending send them back, I tried them on again. And then I went for a ride (Vespa GTS 300). And then I fell in love. They are so comfortable with just enough give. I've worn them several times between then and now and am so happy I kept them.
My boondocks arrived pretty quickly and the quality is great. They fit me well and I really like the length. I had a question about the mesh pockets for the armor and someone responded to my question via text in about a day. Awesome!
I’ve used these for the intention to feel safe but practical on my Moderna Don vintage Vespa! I stand out from the usual gear and the front button pockets make it easy for me to whip out my phone for a photo, put it away and get to riding again! Perfect match of functionality and safety
Love, love, love the boondocks overalls. They are comfy, cute, well made, and have several deep pockets (you know for essentials like chapstick and snacks). They are fitted but are not stiff. Plenty of stretch and ability to move freely. The most important part of sizing for me was measuring around the thigh area. They are easily adjustable in the waist with two button options on each side for sizing, and adjustable straps for the top. Plenty of length, so you can tailor or roll them to your liking. I am 5’3”, 135-140lbs and purchased the size 30. Wore them around the house for 30 minutes and felt like they had a little give in all the places that initially felt snug. My first ride in them was excellent. No weird pulling or pressure points from any of the fasteners. 10/10 recommend!
I am a size 4/6 typically. I ordered the size 26 based on the measurement's, but alas they were too snug. I Ordered a size 28 and they fit perfectly. I still can feel they are just a tad snug in the upper thigh area, but the overalls are very stretchy and forgiving and with time will stretch out. I am 5'6" and they are a bit long but super cute rolled up. I love the high back and they are very flattering. I would love a different color, maybe a Carhartt brown would be amazing :) I would definitely size up one size. I love Tobacco Motorwear Company. I love any company that thinks about what the ladies might like. Customer service is A#1. Quick response, and super fast turnaround time. Highly Recommend !! Mahalo Lori
Love these overalls! I ride a sports bike and they were really comfortable. I felt great in them too. Sizing was spot on.
After waiting some time to get these, I was so excited when they finally arrived. I followed the sizing instructions on the site and felt fairly comfortable with my choice after reading some of the other reviews. Now, I can deal with them being too long, I knew that was a given, but they’re easy to roll up or get hemmed. My issue was the fit around the upper legs. The rest felt comfortable and not too tight, but the tightness around the upper legs resulted in my exchange for the next size up. They’re still snug around the thighs, but now I move my legs around. I do not have skinny legs. The rest of it feels loose but comfy. I consider myself to have an athletic build. For reference, I am 5’2” and 130#. Everything else about the Boondocks is awesome. They are comfy, well made, and super cute. Oh, and the exchange process was super easy. They’ll take care of you if you need it. Looking forward to long rides with my new Boondocks.
Love these! If you have to have only one piece of riding specific gear, it’s worth waiting for these. It can be hard to catch them because they are made in small batches, but they really were worth the wait. Two small words of caution, and I saw this in the reviews - really pay attention to the thigh measurement. I would actually encourage you to size up. I went more on the exact sizing, but it was too small. So size up. Also, the Velcro inside for the hip armor pouches is pretty scratchy. And there is no armor available now so that’s kind of uncomfortable. But still they are great. Also, as you will know if you’ve been looking at reviews there is a 36 inch inseam, so prepare to either roll up or alter. And still - with all this, best piece of motorcycle clothing out there!
