Purchased the Rally Pack to accompany my duffle and it packs plenty for a weekend (low boots, 2 pairs of long Pants, 2 sweaters, 2 t shirts/ boxers / socks). Cool zipper pocket for quick access to separated compartment and another to access bag contents without opening top roll. Who gets freakin compliments on luggage…lol…. IDO! Just like my tobacco clothing I had folks asking about my duffle and rally pack when I checked in to a NYC fancy ass hotel. So it’s even good enuff for NYC. Keep it guys… great stuff!
As with all Pack Animal & Tobacco Products, this bag is awesome… I use it everyday, not just as a travel bag on my bike. Get one.
I've only owned the Rally pack for about 2 weeks and people keep coming up to me when I am in the coffee line (pickup)in Palo Alto (Coupa Cafe) asking where I got it from. Either way, it looks good when filled to the max or just a couple items. Also matches the rest of the Tobacco Motorwear attire as well. :) I love all the new attention but some people forget about social distancing when Godsmacked with the backpacks good looks (or is it me...?) everything about it is great. size is great for trips to work to a weekender. Seems built really solid. Sturdy and rugged but not heavy. Looks fantastic. Fits great on my back. Fits great on my sissy bar. Only reservation is that time will tell regarding durability but I anticipate it will look and feel even better in a few years.
With no equivocation, the best pack I have ever had. Nearly a year in, and still tough as nails and looking great!
After seeing this bag on social media from some motorcycling accounts I follow, I've been eying it up for months. Nearly $300 is a lot to drop on a bag, but after searching and searching, I kept coming back to this one! I finally took the plunge and all I have to say is - if you're on the fence, BUY IT! It's functional and sleek - it isn't over-loaded with bells and whistles - it just holds a ton of stuff and looks great. The sissy bar straps are perfect and make this bag excellent for using it as a daily bag AND as a moto commuting bag. As soon as you start touching this bag, you'll understand the cost - it's beautifully constructed and super heavy duty - it simply feels worth the money. I've been trying to focus more on purchasing quality items that will last a lifetime, and this certainly feels like it fits the bill! This is also one of the only bags I've been able to actually fit my 32oz Hydroflask in the water bottle pocket instead of having to throw it inside the bag and hope for the best. It's a big water bottle but the leather straps secure it at the top too - I know it's not going anywhere! My only gripe is since this bag can be loaded up so much, I would have liked an adjustable waist strap in addition to the chest strap. After going back and forth between this bag and cycling bags (Chrome, Timbuk2, etc) I'm just really pleased with my decision to pick this one up. tl;dr - buy the bag. Buy one for your friend. Buy one for your friend's friend.
I'm a single mom with four kids and it takes a lot of creativity for me to think of reasons to take a quick motorcycle ride by the lake. My most reliable excuse is grocery shopping, so I've been looking for a backpack that will be comfortable on my ride and carry a gallon of milk. Oh, and it has to look good too. This bag hits every note perfectly. It's gorgeous, clean (my last backpack had waaaaaay too many buckles and random straps) and it easily holds a gallon of milk and a small sack of potatoes. Last Friday I toted home a 10 pound salmon from the fish shop. The guys there all know I ride and they all admired the new bag.
I was so impressed with my black Pack Animal Rally Pack that I bought a second one as a gift. This is a PREMIUM backpack -- well designed (both functional and great looking), great construction and a great purchasing experience (from fast shipping, communication, high-end packaging). It's less technical looking than my Velomacchi but something I can take ANYWHERE. Dave and Andrew have a great eye for bringing great products to market.
I just want to start by saying that I do not normally write reviews. So, when I take the time to do so, it is because I feel very deeply about what I have to say. This is the best bag I have ever had; the sturdy construction is simply designed perfectly. It has all the features that I need and none of the fluff that gets in the way. This bag rides on the back of my bike and I have never had to worry about losing it. The bags sissy bar straps are super easy to slide on and never get in my way. I use it every day both as a student and as a man that rides his bike every day. With over 3000 miles on the bag I can say that it fits my needs perfectly and is durable enough to hold up to my lifestyle. Unfortunately, my bag had a faulty zipper. These things happen and is not a reflection of the product or the companies quality control. However, how they handled the situation is. I emailed customer service with my situation and have never been happier with the care I received. Jeremy-PA replied promptly to my needs with a very personal desire to help me. I truly felt as if he wanted to help me out not because it is his job, but that he wanted to help. Jeremy demonstrated that he genuinely cares about this company, product, customer service and the desire to help others. This personal touch combined with his swift replies to my predicament was above and beyond and has made me a customer for life.
Got my Rally Pack some month ago a pledge of the initial Kickstarter campaign. It's a replacement for my old backpack which I used the last 10 years and the RP makes the impression it will stay that long at least. Fabric and leather are great in quality and the way everyting is assembled together is outstanding. The only issue that might be improved are the adjusters on the shoulderstrips. They don't stay in position and have to be re-adjusted once a day. However, this is moaning on a very high level.
