Still breaking them in, and the break-in process has been slowed by a broken toe. What else can go wrong??? (The Mavericks have nothing to do with the broken toe) They look great, and they do feel good while riding, just not walking (yet). I'm getting there. I have only put a few miles on the soles, but several more on the bike. So far, they're Frosted Flakes great on the bike, and I'm sure they'll break in soon.
I have tried many types of boots, been disappointed, sold them, tried again, same thing, but these boots!? They are the best quality I have ever had in my hands! I feel I have found the boots to accommodate me the rest of my life. And I have done product development for a living, a have education in various crafts as wood and metal works, so I have an idea of what is quality and what is not, and these shoes take the top position right away. I am truly amazed that you keep you level of quality continuously this high. Thank you for that. It's what we need product makers to do al lot more to reduce waste and garbage, so from the heart of a product man - thank you, and I look forward to enjoy hopefully a lot more great products from you guys!
I pre-ordered these boots and waited for months for them to show up. The first time I pulled them on , the pull strap on one broke. After that, they were the worst fitting boots I had ever felt. The protection in the heel and ankle cut into my feet. I bought two cowboy boot stretchers and with those and a peet boot dryer and lots of leather treatment, finally got them to where I could put the boots on and not be in pain. In the Army I wore many leather boots that required break in, but these were the longest and hardest to break in of any boots I have ever encountered. After breaking them in, I do really like the boots, but for the money, it took a lot of work to make them wearable...
Nice looking and sturdy boot, the sole is substantial and grippy. The sizing was spot on based on Vans sizing. The loops are useless and came apart on first use, had to cut them off which is a shame for a $300 boot.
My initial pair was a bit small (I’ve got wide feet) but the exchange was painless (it took a little longer than normal but Jeremy responded quick and ensured everything was on its way once he found the issue) as soon as I received the correct size I immediately threw them on and went for a ride. First of all, they look AMAZING. Combined with a pair of tobacco jeans and it just feels right. The vibram sole grips to everything (I even had to adjust how I ride with how well they grip my pegs). At stops my feet stay planted on the ground regardless of the road conditions, they are comfortable (and will only get more so as the leather breaks in) and did I mention how nice they look. Just wow. If you’re on the Vince buy em. You won’t regret it. (Just order up a half size if you’ve got wide feet ;-))
Absolutely love the look of these boots, the fit and finish is even better. Too a while to break in as expected but now they feel great and look great on the bike, at work, even dressed up. Overall experience has been great, from my early preorder, communication in between, customer service- all five stars!
