I just got the Kevlar lined California riding shirt in the mail and I was super impressed. It’s not bulky and looks great too…I’ve gotten multiple compliments from it (no joke). It was pricier than normal shirts but after riding with it I can tell it’s worth it and really high-quality. I may have to buy a pair of jeans now. Happy riding!
…but heavier than a shirt. Feels a bit hot/heavy/stiff if you’re expecting a shirt. But it definitely breathes when you’re moving down the road. Got compliments the first day I wore it. Clean, classic vibe. I found I had to size up compared to my dress shirts for easier arm movement on the bike.
My new everyday riding shirt! The canvas material is a comfortable, durable alternative to my leather jacket, which does get a little too hot. The D3O elbow armor inserts fit perfectly in their slots and are inconspicuous enough to keep in for everyday casual wear. The snap buttons feel a lot more secure than other styles; when fully closed alongside the zipper, I feel extremely safe cruising Bay Area streets and freeways. The color is true to the item description of "moss" green. I chose this to complement the brown Wasteland Vest and have not been disappointed by the aesthetic pairing. On another note, the Tobacco crew has been extremely kind in their correspondences with me and never hesitate to affirm their appreciation for my business. If you are looking to support a (California) local business that produces high quality products and extensively entertaining media content, look no further! Get a riding shirt. Get a couple! I know I will.
I have spent months looking for the ideal riding shirt for warmer months as I’m not a fan of those goofy looking mesh jackets. Currently on my up the coast of CA trip with my dad. Been wearing it on my Bonneville and have been getting a ton of compliments on my shirt and bike and overall motorcycle gear! This also holds up against both hot and cold temperatures. Hoping they make this in a tan/beige. If so I’ll be buying it!!
Like many, I was hesitant to purchase one of these shirts due to the cost. Indeed, I have spent less on some jackets. However, I made an appointment to see these things in person. The quality of this riding shirt was an eye opener. The exemplary fit and finish are exactly what folks hope for when buying something made in America. It is not big and bulky like my jackets, and I have been wearing it all summer in California. It is nice enough to wear as a casual overshirt or light jacket even when not on a bike. On a side note, I have a friend that went down while wearing his. The shirt fully protected him, although his helmet was shot and his toes smashed under his foot peg. Great work Tobacco peeps! I will be buying more of your products.
I have been a customer of Tobacco Motorwear Company (TMC) since October of 2020. I continue to be a customer today because of the Top Quality apparel which I am sure will be passed down to the next generation. I have purchased a few Riding jeans, Jackets, vests and they are very comfortable to wear on long journeys without sacrificing safety. I am also asked quite often "who am I wearing" when I stop at various Harley Davidson dealerships (even by the employees) and other stops on my journeys. I am looking forward to a continued relationship with TMC as I anticipate future products will continue to hold the same top quality standards which I personally believe can't be beat. In a nutshell, the more you experience TMC Motorwear, the more you become a fan.
Thick, durable canvas. Understated and good looking. Fits true to size. I'm 6'3 280, 2Xl in most things and this 2Xl fits well with a little extra room. If I were to want to layer a thick hoody, would need a 3xl. But if it's that cold, I'm wearing something else, anyways.
I got this jacket in July of 2019 and it is by far the best jacket I have ever owned. I don't spend a lot of money on clothes ( more on bikes and cars ) but this jacket was worth every penny. I wear it daily here in San Francisco. It's perfect for when it's a cold ride home from the shop at night and some how is nice and cool when the Sun is shining.
I love this shirt/jacket. It looks like a lot of my non-moto gear. Fit is good, I'm 5'7 and about 180#. My only complaint is that with the elbow armor in place, my arms are pretty snug in the sleeves. I would love the sleeve radius to be an inch or so more accommodating those of us who are more short and thick rather than tall and lean.
